"The most sustainable garment is the one you keep for thirty years."— Isabelle Voss, Founder
Our Position
Less, Better, Longer
The fashion industry's relationship with the planet is broken, and we are under no illusion that we stand entirely outside of it. What we can do is make deliberate decisions at every stage — from sourcing to production to packaging — that reduce unnecessary harm. This page is our honest account of where we are and where we are headed.

What We Stand Behind
Considered Production
We produce in strictly limited quantities — never overproducing to create artificial scarcity. Unsold pieces are never destroyed. Remaining stock is offered to atelier staff at cost, or donated to textile organisations.
Traceable Materials
Every fabric we use is sourced from mills we visit personally. We can trace the origin of every fibre — from Mongolian cashmere pastures to the looms of Lyon. We do not purchase from intermediaries.
Artisan Fair Wages
All 14 of our artisans are employed directly, paid above living wage, and work in our Milan atelier under safe, dignified conditions. We publish our wage structure on request.
Lifetime Repair
Every garment we sell carries a lifetime repair guarantee. A seam, a button, a lining — we will restore it. This is not a premium service. It is the minimum standard a responsible maker should hold.
Plastic-Free Packaging
All orders are shipped in recycled cardboard, wrapped in acid-free tissue, and sealed with a paper band. The cotton dust bag included with each piece replaces plastic garment covers. No exceptions.
Carbon Offsetting
We offset 200% of our estimated shipping emissions through verified reforestation projects in Nepal. We choose 200% because estimates are imprecise and we would rather overshoot than undershoot.
In Practice
Day-to-Day Practices
Fabric Off-Cuts
Fabric remnants from production are used to create dust bags, garment labels, and packaging inserts. Anything remaining is donated to textile art schools in Milan and Paris.
Water Stewardship
We work exclusively with mills that have closed-loop water systems or zero-discharge certifications. Dyeing processes use GOTS-certified low-impact dyes where possible.
Packaging Materials
Our boxes are made from 100% recycled post-consumer board. Tissue paper is FSC certified. We do not use padding materials that cannot be composted or recycled by the recipient.
Atelier Energy
Our Milan production space has operated on 100% renewable electricity since 2022. We are in the process of installing solar capacity to cover our Paris and Tokyo studio operations by 2026.
Transparency Reports
We publish an annual impact report covering our production volumes, material sources, wage data, and environmental footprint. The most recent report is available on request via [email protected].
